Shannon Dugan

Owner & Principal, Build with MD

A proud Pittsburgh native and veteran, Shannon Dugan brings discipline, craftsmanship, and leadership to every project at Build with MD. Beginning his career as a machinist in the United States Marine Corps, he honed the precision, problem-solving, and work ethic that guide his construction approach today.

After attending Clarion University and gaining hands-on experience building custom decks and home additions he co-founded Build with MD to deliver commercial and custom residential projects with integrity, transparency, and client-focused service.

Shannon leads the company’s growth, exploring new opportunities while ensuring expert estimates, project management, and superior craftsmanship across every build. Under his leadership, Build with MD turns bold client visions into lasting, high-quality structures throughout Western Pennsylvania.

Nelson Miller

Owner & Principal, Build with MD

Originally from North Carolina, Nelson Miller brings decades of hands-on construction experience and a deep commitment to craftsmanship to Build with MD. Beginning his career as a young carpenter and later as a union carpenter, he developed a diverse skill set across commercial, high-rise, and complex residential projects.

Nelson combines technical expertise, precision, and safety-focused leadership with a collaborative approach to bring every project vision to life. From managing crews and guiding construction teams to ensuring superior execution, his leadership ensures each commercial and custom residential project is completed with quality, integrity, and lasting value across Western Pennsylvania.

Vickie Pierce

Operations Manager, Build with MD
